Questions Before Enrollment
Yes. Our school provides paid support for all procedures—from obtaining an applicant number through DIPS 2.0 to applying for the issuance of a certificate. You can rest assured that we’ll handle even the most complex applications for you.
Yes. You can apply for a grant for courses that include at least 10 hours of training. Our school will help you combine options such as our 10-hour flight training package to take advantage of up to 75% in grant funding (subject to budget availability and application deadlines).
That's right. Our school is one of the few in Okinawa that is a Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism-registered training institution where students can obtain a Class 1 Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License.
We offer hands-on training in Okinawa using rare, large 25-kg-class drones. You can master advanced piloting skills in an environment that closely resembles real-world operations.
Participants are coming from all over the country. We’re happy to discuss lodging options for those traveling from far away, so please feel free to contact us.
Questions While Taking the Course
In case of rain or strong winds, the event will be held in the gymnasium. If school is canceled due to a weather advisory or similar, we will notify you.
You do not need to purchase an aircraft to take this course. The training will be conducted using aircraft owned by our company. Participants will not be held responsible for any costs associated with damage that occurs during the training. Please feel free to take the course with peace of mind.
Other Questions
We administer exams for both the theory and practical components; if you fail an exam, you will be given a retest. Retests for the theory exam will be held within the scheduled timeframe, while retests for the practical exam will be held on a separate day (for a fee).
Since our school is an authorized CPDS training provider, please contact us if you wish to earn CPDS units.

In addition to the course content, we have compiled frequently asked questions regarding the national certification system and flying after obtaining your license. Since individual flight conditions and the need to apply vary depending on the situation, please consult with us in advance if you have specific plans.
- Does everyone who flies a drone need a national license?
- No, a pilot’s license is not required for every flight. The qualifications, permits, and approvals required vary depending on the airspace, method of flight, aircraft, and access restrictions.
- How should I choose between first and second class?
- Choose based on the types of flights you want to perform in the future and the nature of your work. First, decide whether you want to aim for basic operations with a Class 2 license or consider a Class 1 license with an eye toward higher-category flights, and sort out your options, including any restricted license conversions.
- If I complete a course at a registered training institution, will I receive my certificate of proficiency right away?
- Simply completing the course is not sufficient to receive the license. While you may be exempt from the practical exam administered by a designated testing agency based on the course content, you must still pass the written exam, undergo a physical examination, and submit an application for the license to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.
- What is a Skill Certification Applicant Number?
- This number is used to apply for courses at registered training institutions and to apply for exams at designated testing centers. You obtain it by completing the identity verification process in DIPS 2.0.
- Is there an expiration date for the certificate of proficiency?
- The license is valid for three years. To maintain the license, you must complete a renewal course and pass a physical fitness examination before proceeding with the renewal process.
- If I have the necessary qualifications, do I still need a flight permit or approval?
- It is not necessarily unnecessary. Depending on the details of the flight, you may need to apply for permits and approvals via DIPS 2.0, file a flight plan, and maintain a flight log—in addition to your pilot’s license.
- Can I fly at night, beyond visual line of sight, and with a payload of 25 kg or more with the same license?
- In addition to the basic skill certification, you may need to obtain a rating modification based on your flight methods or maximum takeoff weight. Check the type of flight you wish to perform and select the appropriate training course.
- Can I complete the grant application process even after I've submitted it?
- Depending on the program, you may be required to submit a plan before starting the course. Since eligibility criteria, subsidy rates, and deadlines vary, please consult with us before applying, making a payment, or starting the course. This does not guarantee that funds will be provided.
- Is the practical training venue in the same location as the classroom?
- The venue may vary depending on the course content, aircraft used, weather conditions, and other factors. Please be sure to check the meeting location and required items in the instructions provided before the course begins.
- Can I also get advice on how to apply what I’ve learned to my work after earning the certification?
- Yes. We will organize additional training and operational preparations tailored to specific purposes, such as construction, inspections, 3D building surveys, infrared imaging, and aerial photography.
